Two of the final four 6A football teams remaining harbor first-year coaches who have found immediate success.
Jon Eagle — who won a pair of state titles at Washington’s Camas High School — took over at No. 1 West Linn last spring and, aside from a 35-31 loss to No. 2 Sheldon, has won every game by no less than 11 points this season, setting the stage for a semifinal matchup against No. 5 Central Catholic Friday night.
