Josh Hart hits 3 at buzzer to lift Portland Trail Blazers over Miami Heat, 110-107: At the buzzer

The Portland Trail Blazers welcomed back Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons to the lineup Monday night in Miami but it was Josh Hart who delivered the game-winning basket.

Hart hit a three-pointer from the left corner as time expired to give the Blazers a 110-107 victory.

That happened just seconds after Miami’s Max Strus made a three, also from the left corner, to tie the game at 107-107 with six seconds remaining.

The Blazers inbounded the ball to Lillard who brought it up court and eventually worked it to a wide-open Hart.

The Blazers bench swarmed the court after Hart’s shot went in as they had done Friday night in Phoenix after Jerami Grant scored on a jumper at the buzzer to give his team a 108-106 win.

Simons led the Blazers with 25 points and Lillard scored 19. Hart finished with 12 and Grant had 12.

The Blazers shot 52.8% from the field and 43.2% on threes. But once again, they committed a lot of turnovers (18) and that led to 24 points for the Heat.

Miami had seven players in double figures led by Strus and Bam Adebayo, each with 16.

WHAT IT MEANS

The Blazers (7-3) moved to 2-2 on this six-game trip.

NEXT UP
