A man was shot and killed in Hillsboro Saturday morning, according to a statement from the city’s police department.
Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 3:45 a.m. near Southeast Walnut Street and 10th Avenue. They found a man with a gunshot wound when they arrived.
Officers tried to help him, but he died at the scene, police said. The man was not publicly identified.
