Oregon Ducks receiver Chase Cota leaves Cal game with apparent injury

Oregon receiver Chase Cota left Sasturday’s game against Cal with an apparent injury.

Cota was tackled awkwardly after a six-yard catch on third and 10 with about 9:00 to go in the first quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game between the No. 8 Ducks and Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium.

The senior went to the injury tent and then the locker room before halftime. Cota returned to the sideline in street clothes for the second half.

Oregon (6-1, 4-0 Pac-12) turned to Dont’e Thornton to fill in for Cota. UO is also without Seven McGee, who didn’t travel.
