Oregon is picked to finish third and Oregon State last of 12 in the Pac-12′s men’s basketball preseason media poll, released by the conference Wednesday morning ahead of media day.
The Ducks received three of 33 first place votes and earned 336 points in the poll. UCLA, receiving 26 first-place votes, is the heavy favorite to win the conference title.
The Bruins were the preseason pick the past two years, but failed to win the Pac-12 title. Arizona won last season’s championship, and Oregon in 2020-21.
Oregon State tallied 47 points to finish 12th, 22 points behind 11th place California. The Beavers, who have retooled their roster after last year’s 3-28 campaign, were not a unanimous selection for last place.
Arizona, with three first-place votes, is picked to finish second. Stanford, fifth in the poll, earned the other first place vote.
