Oregon State begins its redemption season Monday night when the Beavers play Tulsa at 9 p.m. in Gill Coliseum.

Notable: The Beavers open the season with the first of four consecutive home games as they try to turn the page on last season. The roster includes eight true freshmen and three D-1 transfers. … Oregon State will be without former Georgia guard Christian Wright and Arizona State guard Justin Rochelin, both out for extended periods with injuries. … Chol Marial, the 7-foot-2 junior who sat out last season to satisfy NCAA transfer and academically eligibility requirements, makes his OSU debut Monday. …Tulsa has a first-year coach in Eric Konkol, who comes from Louisiana Tech, where he was 153-75 over six years. The Golden Hurricane return eight players and two starters, including guard Sam Griffin, who averaged 14.6 points a game last season.
