Oregon State returns to top 25 at No. 25 following its 38-10 win over California



Following a one-week absence, Oregon State is back in the top 25 after Saturday’s 38-10 win over California.

The Beavers (7-3, 4-3 Pac-12) narrowly made the AP Top 25, getting in at No. 25. OSU was among second among those receiving votes in the coaches’ poll.

Oregon State received 81 votes in the AP poll, edging North Carolina State, which had the highest “others receiving votes” with 77. The Beavers were one of four unranked teams to join the top 25 this week. Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina and Oklahoma State were the others.

Two weeks ago, Oregon State made its first top 25 appearance in nine years when the Beavers landed at No. 24. The Beavers slipped from the poll after their 24-21 loss at Washington on Nov. 4.

OSU received 62 votes in the coaches poll. No. 25 North Carolina State received 89.

Oregon State returns to action at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at Arizona State.
