Portland police report shooting by officer in downtown

Portland police reported a shooting by an officer in downtown but released no other details of what led to the shooting.

They said no police were injured in the shooting at Southwest 12th Avenue and Jefferson Street but didn’t say if anyone else had been hurt.

Southwest 12th Avenue is closed between Columbia Street and Madison streets and Southwest Jefferson Street is closed between 11th and 13th avenues for the investigation.
