Saturday’s high temperature is forecast to be 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, and there’s a 30% chance of rain before 10 a.m. in the Portland area. The Cascades might see some light snow with pockets of freezing rain.
Saturday night will bring increasing clouds with a low of 35 degrees. Sunday is expected to start with patchy fog before turning to partly sunny skies with a high a 47 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Timberline opened Oregon’s ski season on Friday. The ski area is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. They haven’t received any new snow in the last 24 hours but have a 27-inch base at the lodge. There are some icy spots on roads if you’re heading to the mountain this morning, and it’s currently 24 degrees there.
Back in the Portland area, the start of the workweek is expected to bring dry, clear skies with high temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
