On (“Publishing Prejudice: The Oregonian’s Racist Legacy,” Oct. 24): Well done. Long, long, long overdue. Keep going with the history lesson to frame out the foundation of this appalling racism. But more importantly, please publish stories from the Black, Native American, Asian and immigrant communities about how the legacy has propagated. Without that direct line from this racist past to today, your efforts will fall short. A history lesson is easy to dismiss. Stories about how that legacy still shapes our community today are not as easy to ignore. We all can do better.
