Shooting in NE Portland results in ‘life-threatening injuries’ for one, police investigating



A shooting Tuesday night seriously wounded one person in Northeast Portland’s Woodlawn neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to 911 calls about gunfire at about 11:20 p.m. They arrived at Northeast Rosa Parks Way and Durham Avenue to find a person with “life-threatening injuries,” according to the Portland Police Bureau. Police have not yet publicly identified the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital.

Northeast Durham Avenue between Dekum and Lenore streets was closed for several hours as detectives investigated.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, and police ask anyone who might have information about the incident to call (503) 823-0400.
